Hasena AG, the largest producer of bed systems in Europe converts to pure ASP services from B2Bnet in the area of electronically controlled invoice processing and implements Crossborder Billing.

logo-hasenaFor almost 60 years the Swiss bedroom furniture and bed producers Hasena AG have been manufacturing, as they say themselves; “high quality, trendy, innovative and affordable furniture to sleep, dream and feel well in”. The success story began in 1951 when the three Hasenfratz brothers founded the company and began producing beds and slatted frames with rudimentary tools in a shed. Success came quickly and they soon established a solid client base throughout Switzerland. Since then the company is managed by the second generation while the founding members are available at all times to support them and give advice. By continuously capturing new markets, the Swiss firm was able to make a name for itself across the borders: today Hasena AG delivers to over 20 countries around the world and is one of the largest producers of bed systems in Europe.

Efficient and effective management thinking led Hasena AG to a fundamental decision: due to the cost benefit ratio as well as the fact that they would not have to manage their own infrastructure, they decided to replace the B2B/EDI infrastructure already supplied and maintained by COMPUDATA several years earlier with the pure ASP services from COMPUDATA. As a consequence the necessary processes or to be precise, the receipt of UN/Edifact messages (orders, delivery notes and e-invoices) for implementation, are to be entirely outsourced as of the 1.4.10. Furthermore, the new process ‘Crossborder Billing’ is to be implemented with clients in Germany. The existing processes already in production required amongst other things, the use of qualified signatures in adherence to SigG (the German Digital Signature Act).

For companies with multinational operations that exchange invoices across borders, COMPUDATA offers electronic invoicing between countries, the so-called ‘Crossborder Billing’. The entire process becomes more complicated as the processing of the respectively different national regulations and laws of each invoice must be adhered to. Since 2007 the B2Bnet service ‘Crossborder Billing’ has been in productive use in Switzerland, Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Greece and Italy. In all of these countries the national regulations and laws in regard to electronic invoice processing have been complied with.
