This represents a cost attenuation and thereby a saving of 200 million Swiss francs. According to a study conducted by FHNW (University of Applied Sciences and Arts North-West Switzerland), the invoice issuer saved CHF 2.- and the invoice receiver CHF 15.- per invoice. The press release has taken into account to what extent this cost-saving potential can be economically weighed and how the rate of increase of the trend appears.

The quality of the innovative solutions from COMPUDATA/B2Bnet is the basis of many years of cooperation with the tradition-conscious producer of milk products Cremo SA.

Cremo SA, originally founded for processing butter and cream and recorded as a joint stock company in the Swiss commercial register in 1927, today produces and markets a wide and high-quality range of milk products. The company’s selection of products has specialized and developed enormously over the 85 years: it ranges from various types of butter and dairy products (milk, UHT-cream, individual portions of coffee cream, yogurts) through hard and semi-hard cheeses (Le Gruyère AOC, Vacherin Fribourgeois, Swiss Edam and raclette Mazot) up to milk powder and protein concentrates used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The production plants of Cremo SA have ultra-modern equipment with cutting-edge technology at their disposal, that meet with the highest international technical standards and sanitary norms. To enable them to fulfil their consumer’s needs, over 600 employees in Cremo SA carefully monitor their requirements and wishes with outstanding flexibility.

To quote the slogan from Cremo SA, “Innovation in keeping with Tradition”, innovation was always the driving force behind their enduring success. And certainly one of the reasons why the producer of milk products has been working together with COMPUDATA AG for so many years and trusts the quality of the innovative solutions from COMPUDATA/B2Bnet. The on-site deployed EDI infrastructure integrates the electronically controlled business processes with the clients seamlessly into the ERP system. B2Bnet realises additional services such as VAT conform processing of electronic invoices and the forwarding of notifications. “Just in Time” processes are the basic prerequisite for the success of the company that is engaged in the area of fresh merchandise. Cremo and COMPUDATA/B2Bnet: Innovation in keeping with tradition and quality that have proven their worth.

It survived the war and other difficult times with competition from low‐income countries. The takeover and renaming by Conrad Peyer and Heini Kählin to ‘Weseta Textil AG’ took place in 1995. The goal was to strive for a position in the highest price segment. Today the Swiss firm produces terry‐cloth towels, bathroom rugs, bathrobes and other high quality terry‐cloth products in Engli in canton Glarus. In cooperation with Christian Fischbacher AG innovative, luxurious terry‐cloth products are created under the brand name ‘Christian Fischbacher BATH’, a palette of products ranging from the finest terry‐cloth ‘Dreamflor’ through to classic dressing gowns and bathrobes with fine Christian Fischbacher material and to the production of individual woven terrycloth. Just as specialised shops and large department stores belong to their client base, so also do hotels, companies and clubs who have their individual terry‐cloth products produced by Weseta Textil AG.

Nearly 150 years old, tradition has been a major issue of the company in the textile canton of Glarus. That’s why “Swiss Made” is not a slogan for Weseta Textil AG, but rather a commitment to true quality. This is reflected in the three principles “Best Quality – Innovative Assortment – Client Proximity” and is also extended in all issues of electronically controlled business process processing. With regard to electronic business processes, Weseta Textil AG relies fully and completely on COMPUDATA in which they outsource their entire EDI services to B2Bnet. These range from central conversion through to VAT conform and audit‐compliant processing of electronic invoices.

Camille Bloch, one of the most visionary and creative Swiss chocolatiers, retains its principles by choosing the innovative solutions from B2Bnet in the area of e‐Invoicing.

In the year 1926, under the name «Chocolats et Bonbons fins Camille Bloch» the company founder Camille Bloch registered his business as a limited company in the Commercial Register in Bern. For over 80 years and 3 generations, the successful family business has devoted itself to the high‐quality production of the finest chocolate specialities – since then Camille Bloch has been one of the most visionary and creative chocolatiers in Switzerland.
At the present time of market saturation it is important to distinguish oneself with a special product. One of the major challenges associated with this, is the creation of a balance between the conventional and the modern, as well as simultaneously creating a connection from the past to the present: proven recipes and advanced technology. As niche provider, the chocolatier Camille Bloch, succeeded in authentically combining the traditional values with the newest trends and establishing strong brand names such as Ragusa, Torino and many others. Today, connoisseurs of Camille Bloch specialities are spread all over the world and are provided with chocolate specialities through the export markets and close distribution network partners.

«The choice of the correct raw material is decisive for the quality and the perfect taste of a Ragusa truffle,
a Torino chocolate praline or a cherry liqueur chocolate. […] We at Camille Bloch […] exclusively use superlative
quality raw materials. …».

What applies to the production of excellent chocolate is equally valid for electronically controlled order and invoice processes. It depends on the special formula and the superior quality of the ingredients: Camille Bloch decided upon the innovative solutions from B2Bnet. B2Bnet prepares client orders in the in‐house format for integration in the ERP system and sends them to Camille Bloch. Vice versa, Camille Bloch sends its in‐house data to B2Bnet. Here in turn these are converted to the end‐format of the message recipient and forwarded to them. In addition to this, e‐Invoices are electronically signed in accordance with the value added tax authorities and are archived audit‐compliant in B2Bnet’s online archive.

KPMG validates B2Bnet’s conformity of eInvoicing and archiving solutions for electronically controlled invoice issue and receipt.

In connection with the electronically controlled processing of invoices (eInvoicing), the internationally active auditing and consultancy firm KPMG conducted a compliance test for B2Bnet relating to the adherence of the legislator’s legal foundations. KMPG confirms that B2Bnet operates and effectively implements the required controls and functions of the directives of the Swiss legislation regarding electronic data and information (ElDI-V) as well as the technical rules of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (ESTV). Furthermore, after inspection of the process documentation, operating instructions and verification, KPMG confirms that the implemented archive system is legally compliant and in particular the prerequisites of Article 957 and the regulation regarding the management and retention of the companies’ accounts (Regulation for Business Records Management/GeBüV) have been fulfilled.

B2Bnet’s clients profit from the use of paperless electronically controlled business processes: they can receive cost-effective complete services in outsourcing for the handling of electronically controlled business processes as Managed Services. The data transferred from the company to the B2Bnet platform are converted, digitally signed, archived and forwarded to the receiver. All invoices, whether they are for the invoice issuer or the invoice receiver, are archived long-term in B2Bnet’s online archive and are available for the user at all times, accessible over a secure Web based browser.

.

A short summary of directives of the legislator follows: :

GeBüV: The Swiss decree governing books of account that are supported by the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 957 Paragraph 5), requires that all companies recorded in the commercial register manage the company accounts (the company accounts, accounting documents, business correspondence) as well as the storage and integrity accordingly. Should the accounts and the accounting documents (incl. invoices) as well as the business correspondence be recorded and stored electronically, the principles according to invoice processing are to be met.(Art. 9 ff. GeBüV).

The Swiss legislation regarding electronic data and information ElDI-V determines the conditions for data electronically transferred and stored and regulates their technical and administrative rules (TAR), which for their part support the value added tax (VAT) law. Essential requirements for this are the proof of integrity and the origin of a document. These requirements can be fulfilled by means of digital signatures, to verify the authenticity of the sender and the unaltered validity of electronic invoices. It must be possible at all times to be able to prove if a document has been changed since the time of signature and who the author of the signature was.

The consolidated turnover and profit of both companies increased by 20%, the sustainability of this development is already reflected for the fifth consecutive financial year.

Closer analysis of the individual firms shows that the figures for Compudata, active in the EDI project business, remain constant. Whereas the figures for B2Bnet increased strongly, not least due to the consistent rise in demands for Managed EDI Services. As a Full-Service-Provider, B2Bnet supports its clients in all concerns of electronically controlled business processes, from the supply chain to the legally compliant invoice processing.

In the area of electronically controlled invoice processing or that is to say eInvoicing, B2Bnet offers three variations: domestic (Switzerland-Switzerland), Crossborder (Switzerland – foreign countries) and Foreign Invoicing (between foreign countries).
These Managed Services recorded the largest increase in turnover referring to approximately 7.6 million processed invoices. Taking into account the remaining business cases processed by B2Bnet, we reach the impressive figure of approximately 15.4 million client transactions that were processed in 2011.

The client basis of B2Bnet includes small firms, medium-sized companies as well as globally active large companies such as Novartis Consumer Health or the European Uniliver Group. Particularly satisfying was the expansion of the client base in the USA and Canada in 2011.

The current year will bring an expansion of the client base in new countries, accompanied by new portal applications that can be utilised as Managed Services.

98 years ago in the year 1914, the family owned company Wipf AG was taken over by Heinrich Wipf; since then the Swiss company in the packaging branch has dealt with flexible packaging solutions in its five different business fields. The core competence of Wipf AG lies in the development and production of high-density packaging film and bags for the food, pharmaceutical and non-food industries. Due to the manageable size of the company, a strong development department as well as a modern infrastructure within the laboratory, production and logistics enables the company to stay loyal to its guiding principle “Innovative Packaging Solutions” to develop and successfully implement the innovative and flexible solutions for changing demands. In the past year Wipf AG presented itself as a reliable partner with its new corporate image with headlines in brochures and advertisements such as: “Packaging is our Passion”, “For Discerning Pet Noses”, “For Maximum Enjoyment”. The Wipf Group is a typical Swiss family owned company with long-standing tradition. The Wipf Group ranks among the leading providers in Europe within the two production sectors Flexible Packaging & Envelopes and Stationary & Direct Marketing.

“Innovative Packaging Solutions” and “Innovation for Your Success”, the two guiding principles of Wipf AG and COMPUDATA AG fit perfectly together. The packaging services provider Wipf AG chose B2Bnet the leading platform in the area of eInvoicing from COMPUDATA AG. The experience that a partner company had of the services of COMPUDATA/B2Bnet was the decisive factor for the project. During the implementation Wipf AG sent its SAP/IDoc-Files to B2Bnet. There these were then converted into the end-format, signed and archived for 10 years in the online archive in accordance with VAT and audit-compliant regulations. Fast and efficient – well-packed innovative solutions: Wipf AG and B2Bnet.

Almost 50 years have past since Sicas S.A. was founded by great-grandfather Renzo Nespoli in 1962 as a family company, and thereafter managed by his son Luigi and today by his grandson Renzo. The drinks manufacturer producing fruit juice is the only Swiss company using fresh fruit in the manufacture alongside carbonated beverages such as soft drinks and alcohol free drinks using natural ingredients exclusively. To guarantee the quality of the pure fruit juice, the company follows the entire ripening process of the fruit from controlling the plantations up until harvesting. Only ripe fruit with first-class aroma and taste are used which are carefully transported, preserving the freshness of the fruit with respect for the environment. The conversion into fruit juice takes place both by manual and mechanical processing, and thereafter the end product is optimally stored and distributed throughout Switzerland. The company is represented by the brands SUC and SARASAY on the market.

Whether it’s in regard to herbs, vegetables or fruit – everywhere where freshness is the key and the distribution cycle is extremely short, the processing of information regarding the supply and production dates must be synchronized. “Just-in-Time” processes are required. After the elimination of Sicas’ internal EDI infrastructure, today Sicas uses the leading EDI platform B2Bnet for all EDI issues. All EDI data are converted and forwarded efficiently and cost effectively. The eInvoices are signed in accordance with VAT regulations and are archived audit-compliant in B2Bnet’s online archive.

GroupeMargot is one of the largest specialised distributors in the area of tabacco and confectionary in the country. As the parent company, GroupeMargot comprises the companies Ch.Margot & Cie SA (Margotabac), Valtabaco SA and Meuli & Co AG. The distribution of cigarettes, tabacco, cheroot and cigars with the respective accessories over various kiosk products and a comprehenisive confectionary assortment, includes over 3,000 articles and products with more than 5,000 clients in Switzerland. The function of providing all the essential service deliveries to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of these businesses falls to the parent company. As a consequence they can profit from their numerous synergy effects without having to lose their independence. The sales personnel provide a secure and densely woven distribution system throughout the country over the distribution centre in Villeneuve and the sales offices in Seon. State-of-the-art technology enables an efficient, fast and precise operation and a client delivery in all Swiss cities and regions within 24 hours.

“Reliability, performance, innovation and quality” are the keywords of GroupeMargot. This credo is identical to the guiding principle of COMPUDATA/B2Bnet and therefore also the foundation of a long-term, very successful working relationship. The subsidiary Ch. Margot & Cie SA (Margotabac) trusts the innovative Managed Services from B2Bnet and the many years of expertise of the COMPUDATA employees 100%. In regard to the exchange of electronic data, Margotabac focuses on outsourcing, which means in clear text, that all EDI issues are outsourced to B2Bnet: forwarding from notifications, converting from the original to the end format, processing the eInvoices in accordance with VAT regulations including signing and archiving. With B2Bnet the client can concentrate on their core business without any worries.
